Judge orders confiscation of property worth over 14.51 lakhs
Hyderabad, February 22, 2007The Principal Special Judge for ACB Cases, Hyderabad convicted GV Narayana Rao, Hyderabad Urban Development Authority former chief engineer and sentenced him to undergo RI for two years and pay a fine of Rs. 10,000 and in default to suffer three months of simple imprisonment for offences under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.
The judge also ordered confiscation of property worth over Rs. 14.51 lakhs. The ACB found him to be in possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income to the tune of Rs. 47.12 lakhs.
