State Election Commission issues notification
Hyderabad, February 12, 2007The State Election Commission (SEC) on Monday issued notification in six MPTCs and two ZPTCs in five districts to elect the ZPTCs and MPTCs on March 1.
According to the notification issued by AVS Reddy, State Election Commissioner, ZPTCs going to polls are Karamudi and Lokeshwaram in Guntur and Adilabad districts respectively. The MPTCs are Peddadevulapalli (Nalgonda), Ravindra Nagar of Adilabad, Dowleswaram-2 of East Godavari, Babilgoan, Kanchanpally and Nizampet of Medak districts.
He said that the election notice would be issued on February 15 when nominations could be filed from 10.30am to 5pm. February 19 will be the last day for filing nominations which will be scrutinized five days later. While February 23 will be the last date for withdrawal of nominations, counting will be held on March 2 and the results will be declared on the same day itself.
