Demands interim relief
Hyderabad, February 10, 2007
The National Federation of Indian Railway men (NFIR) will observe All India Mass Campaign Day on February 12. According to South Central Railway Employees' Sangh Zonal treasurer CPS Sarma, a lunch hour meeting will be held on the lawns of Rail Nilayam, which will be addressed by NFIR general secretary M. Raghaviah.
The demands include grant of interim relief immediately, implementation of the negotiated settlement reached last year on a 20-point charter of demands, halt to downsizing of posts and outsourcing of activities in the railways and creation of new posts and new assets and new services.
