Public meeting draws lukewarm response
Hyderabad, December 9, 2007The Former Advocate General S Ramachandra Rao organizing a rally of upper and weaker sections of the society on Sunday said a political platform of these sections was likely in future. Addressing the meeting at the Nizam College, under the banner ‘Sarvajana Sammelan’, he said the event was held to demonstrate the unity of all caste groups including Brahmins. It may lead to a political conglomeration in the coming months, he said.
Ramachandra Rao said that he is leading struggle for social justice. He added that the days when political power is concentrated in the hands of few were over. Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) leaders K Dhanraj and G Swamy said UP Chief Minister Mayavati will be visiting on January 5 and 6 to formally extend invitation to leaders of different shades to join BSP. She will also address at a meeting at the same venue.
