Auto Expo scheduled to commence from January 10, 2008

Hyderabad, December 28, 2007

The much-awaited Rs.1 Lakh car from Tata stable would be showcased at the Asia’s biggest automobile exhibition, Auto Expo scheduled to be commenced from January 10, 2008. Nearly 30 new models of vehicles including concept car ‘A Star’ and ‘Splash’ of Maruti Suzuki, sports utility vehicle ‘Touareg’ from Volkswagen and compact car ‘Jazz’ from Honda will be displayed.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Chairman of the Andhra Pradesh Chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Pradeep Dhobale said that over 2000 participants were expected to take part in the exhibition.

The weeklong 9th Auto Expo, which will be Asias largest show in terms of space, will be kick started on January 10. The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacuters, Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India apart from CII, will organize the show.
