Killer leaves note at the scene of offence
Vijayawada, December 27, 2007Ayesha Meera, a first year B.Pharmacy student of Nimra Institute of Technology at Ibrahimpatnam was found brutally murdered in a private ladies hostel at Ibrahimpatnam in Vijayawada on Thursday.
According to police sources, the crime was suspected to have been committed between 2am and 5.30am. The brutal killer left a note in Telugu at the spot stating that he was killing the girl as she spurned his overtures. He also scribbled with a blue pen the words ‘Prematho Chirutha’ in Telugu on the girl’s chest. The Commissioner of Police CV Anand rushed to the spot and spent nearly two and half-hours there. It was confirmed that before killing the girl student, the killer might have raped her when she was in an unconscious state, said the CP.
The police also found blood strains on the walls of the room and in the bathroom, said that the killer might have banged her head to a wall and dragged her through the corridor before raping her in the bathroom. The girl apparently died of heavy bleeding from the head injury. The Police Commissioner said that the hostel was being well guarded and the killer must have scaled one of the walls surrounding it. He said that four special teams were put to nab the killer. The police could found any clue on the spot.
