Labor Department takes decision after discussions with State Official Language Commission
Hyderabad, December 22, 2007
Shopkeepers now have to ensure that their store names are displayed in Telugu. English and/or Hindi and other languages now comes as the other options. This decision is taken by the Labor Department after its officials conducted a detailed discussions with the State Official Language Commission on the usage of telugu.
With this, any one applying for a shop license or those who are renewing them at the eSeva Centre have to give a declaration that their signboard is already in Telugu failing which the license will not be granted or renewed.
