Hyderabad, August 8, 2007

Speaking to media persons, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader K Yeerran Naidu alleged that large scale irregularities had taken plae in the construction of Indiramma Housing Scheme and on Wednesday, he demanded the State Government to constitute an all party team to look into them.

He allege that the funds to the tune of Rs.1,475 crore were misappropriated in the housing scheme and alleged that thirty percent of the funds were misused. He said that the TDP had evidence to their allegations and would produce the evidence before the all party committee if constituted. He said that the Government website claims that 18 lakh houses were constructed in contrary to the claim of the government of constructed 16 lakh houses. Even the figure of 18 lakh houses was figured in the Governor's address in the Assembly.
