Age limit to be hiked from the present 33 years to 37 years
Hyderabad, August 6, 2007
Taking into consideration of several representations received by the State Government during the past couple of years, sources say that the State Government has finally decided to increase the upper age limit for candidates appearing for Group I and II examinations of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission from the present 33 years to 37 years.
Initially, the government planned to increase the upper age limit to two years and the file was sent for the Chief Minister consent. The Chief Minister however directed to increase the upper age limit to four years and directed the officials to prepare the file accordingly.
Keeping in view of the Government's decision to fill 10,000 vacant posts in the next six months, the APPSC is expected to issue a notification shortly for recruitment covering different categories of posts including Group I and II.
