Sources say assurance was given to take up land issue to high command

Hyderabad, August 6, 2007

In a significant move, Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha Member V Hanumantha Rao met the CPM State Secretary BV Raghavulu on Monday and spent some time with him discussing on the recent incidents related to the land issue. Sources close to them reveal that these two leaders have discussed the Mudigonda incident and its fallout.

The meeting between the two leaders assumes significance in view of the arrival of AICC General Secretary and In charge of party affairs in the State Digvijay Singh, who is scheduled to visit on August 9. Digvijay Singh is visiting the state to attend a high level co-ordination meeting of the party.

Meanwhile, it is understood that V Hanumantha Rao have assured BV Raghavulu to be brought to the notice of the concern of the CPM party to the notice of the Party High command.
