Four month old child died after immunizing vaccine
Hyderabad, August 4, 2007Little would the parents of four month old child have thought that immunizing their child against a crippling disease would cost him his life instead. Their baby boy fell unconscious after being administered the polio vaccine at a camp at Shastrinagar in the Sanathnagar area on Saturday.
He was rushed to the nearby St Theresa's Hospital by his father K Srinivas who is a painter, but the child died within a couple of hours. The parents alleged that the vaccine was of sub standard quality and the reaction claimed their son's life. The police registered a case of suspicious death and are investigating the case.
