8718 employees identified for repatriation while 4145 served orders

Hyderabad, August 30, 2007

The State Government would issue orders in a couple of days specifying the posts made gazetted after 1975 and their local reservation status. The relevant information has been collected from the Heads of Departments and orders specifying the gazetted posts would be issued, the Chief Secretary J Harinaryan informed the members of the House Committee on the monitoring the implementation of GO 610 on Thursday.

He said that the Girglani Commission has recommended that all posts which were brought within the purview of the Presidential Order may continue to be in the capital under the same roof to preserve the character of local reservation. The members requested the Chief Secretary to brief the committee on the progress of implementation of the Girglani Commission while the Chief Secretary said that the action taken on the recommendations will be discussed during the next meeting of the committee.

The Chief Secretary said that 8,718 posts were identified and repatriation orders have been issued for 4,145 employees including 3,185 from Police Department. Of the total employees issued repatriation orders, 1,234 went to the courts and the Advocate General had been requested to appear courts personally.
