Protests against twin-blasts in the State Capital

The Bharatiya Janata Party called for Statewide bandh on Monday in protest against the twin blast that claimed more then 40 lives besides injuring 70 others on Saturday night. Speaking to media after an emergency meeting of the State office bearers on Sunday, the BJP State president Bandarau Dattatreya, Ch Vidyasagar Rao, N Ramachander Rao and others said that the State Government should take concrete steps to prevent such incidents.
They further said that the Government should be no soft approach and the authorities should not hesitate in taking actging against the culprits. The issue also figured at an all party meeting that was chaired by the Chief Minister, Dr.YS Rajasekhara Reddy in the Secretariat on Sunday.
Except CPI, other parties did not evince much interest. The BJP leaders urged the people to make the bandh a success.
