Other accused sentenced, fined
Hyderabad, August 21, 2007In a sensational sex racket allegedly involving a professor of Sri Venkateswara University, Vasantakumari, the Assistant Sessions Judge, Tirupati Sambasiva Naidu on Tuesday sentenced the accused for seven years RI and also levied a penalty of Rs. 22,000.
While delivering the judgment, the judge found that the accused guilty under section 373 of IPC and also under various sections of the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act and sentenced her to undergo 7 years RI.
The judge also sentenced another accused, Srikanth to seven years RI in addition levying a fined of Rs.10,000. The Tirupati (West) police investigated the case and filed the charge sheet under the supervision of the DSP, Tirupati and other officers.
