Officials to ensure implementation of Telugu in all administrative matters
Hyderabad, August 2, 2007
The Chief Secretary, J Harinarayan has asked the secretaries and head of various department heads of the government to implement and ensure compulsory of use of Telugu in all administrative matters to take the government to the people. He issued an order an asked them to switch over to the State's official language in all their correspondence with others at various levels.
The Chairman of State Official Languages Commission, ABK Prasad regretted that the APPSC had deleted General Telugu as a subject for the Group I and II service examinations but retaining this status for general English. He, however, complimented the APPSC for formulating uniform syllabus both for English and Telugu medium candidates aspiring for the examinations.
