Lathi charge used to disperse group
Karimnagar, April 7, 2007Former Chief Minister and President of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had a tough time to bring his party supporters who unexpectedly entered into clash with Congress workers in his road show. Naidu, in his road show said that the intervention of UPA Chairperson Ms. Sonia Gandhi is necessary on the Babhli project. He said that the SRSP project in the Telangana region would turn waterless if no immediate action is taken.
Clashes between the supporters of TDP and Congress cropped up at the roadshow near Jammikunta village. Police immediately intervened and restored to lathi charge to disperse the crowds.
