More melas planned across the state

Anantapur, April 6, 2007

A Passport Mela was inaugurated at the Anantapur Agriculture Marketyard. This is the first of its kind that the Passport is organizing the program. The mela was inaugurated by Regional passport Officer B. Bala Bhaskar.

Speaking at the program, Bala Bhaskar said that the the Passport office accepts forms downloaded from their internet website. The passport office also is issuing passport applications through eSeva Centers too. He said that people in the region can submit their forms at the SP office and need not have to come to Hyderabad for the same.

Speaking on the issue of the passports, he said that the Regional Passport office in Hyderabad has issued a record 4 lakh passports in the year 2006. Bhaskar says that his office is planning for the conduction such melas in all districts in the state.
