Quick communication between Ministers brings break through
Hyderabad, April 4, 2007The uneasiness between Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra over Babli project got a break through, thanks largely to the Andhra Pradesh Major Irrigation Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.
The Andhra Pradesh Minister will head a team representing the state while Maharashtra Minister for Water Resources Ajit Pawar will represent his Maharashtra team which will be visiting the Babli project site on Thursday. The AP delegation feels that Maharashtra is using 5.4 tmcft of water from Godavari as against to its claim of 0.01 tmcft.
