Hyderabad, April 24, 2007

The Minister for Home, K. Jana Reddy on Tuesday addressing a gathering after inaugurating VAMBAY Housing Colony at Saidabad said that the State Government will take stringent action against the land grabbers and land mafia gangs. In a meeting held with the senior police officials on Monday, the asked them to deal sternly with land grabbers found terrorizing innocent people. He also directed them to keep a close tab on the land grabbers entering the city from other regions.

He said that the Government has received information that several land grabbers from other regions of the state in the city and threatening innocent people while forcibly encroaching lands. The Minister for information, Mohd Ali Shabbir warned the slum dwellers against making payment to middlemen or the agents. If they are causing any problem, the victims should inform the police immediately.
