Housing Board officials to scrutinize applications
Hyderabad, April 22, 2007Sunday being the last date for submitting applications for Rajiv Swagruha Housing Scheme, more than two lakh applications were submitted at the e-Seva centres across the State. The Andhra Pradesh Housing Board officials expressed satisfaction at the good response to the programme that intends to help middle class families with monthly income of less than Rs. 25,000 find suitable flats in municipal limits or independent houses in municipalities.
According to sources, a total of 2.8 lakh applications were sold in the State through e-Seva centres that generates an income of Rs. 7 crores to the APHB. The highest number of applications were sold in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district followed by Visakhapatnam and Krishna districts.
The Housing Board officials said that scrutiny of applications would commence on Monday. The data collected by e-Seva centres was forwarded to the Board. Depending on the demand for flats or houses in a particular city or town, land will be acquired.
