Investigation also in possible links with Babubhai Katara angle
Hyderabad, April 21, 2007The police seized three forged passports and some fake immigration stamps from the house of an aide of suspended BJP MP Babubhai Katara who is facing a probe in a human trafficking case. The police arrested Rajinder Kumar Gupta who was arrested on Wednesday at the Airport while allegedly trying to smuggle a woman and a teenaged boy to Canada revealed three other MPs hands in the racket.
The TRS President and former Union Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao clarified that the allegations of his involvement is totally baseless the claim of one those arrested that he had introduced travel agents to Rao through one Mohan Murthy worked as his PS while he was in the Union Cabinet.
At a hurriedly convened press conference, he said no one by that name ever worked as his PA or PS during his tenure both as Union Minister or a s minister in the AP Cabinet.
