To suspend 14 students whose examination led to attack on Professors
Warangal, April 18, 2007The Executive Council of the Kakatiya University that met today has decided to hold a probe into the attack on the University Professors. Vice Chancellor of the University V. Gopal Reddy said that the inquiry will be done by a retired judge. It is also decided that the 14 students whose examination led to the attack on the Professors be suspended.
It may be recalled that the five University Professors were attacked by ABVP students on April 17, 2007 for not awarding pass mark to 14 MSc Physics students. Meanwhile, ABVP leaders say that they have no role to play in this and that some teachers who were misusing public money are targeting students who questioned them on this. ABVP supporters also burnt an effigy of the Vice Chancellor.
