Hyderabad, April 17, 2007

The Mala Mahanadu has threatened to launch a state wide agitation if the Government announces a decision in favour of categorization of Scheduled Castes. Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, its president and MLC J. Pabhakara Rao alleged that the MRPS was bringing pressure on Chief Minister to concede their demands for categorization of SCs.

He said that the Chief Minister should not yield the pressure mounted by MRPS and ensure that the constitutional and democratic rights of Malas were protected. The Mala Mahanadu will take steps to forge unity among SC communities, he said.
