SC/ST Commission constituted

Commission consists of six members

Hyderabad, April 13, 2007

The State Government on Friday constituted a six member AP State Commission for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes with M. Nagarjuna as its Chairman. Incidentally, he is the professor of Andhra University, Visakhapatnam.

The other members of the Commission are Sandhya Rani of Vizianagaram, A Pratap Kumar of Guntur, K. Srinivasulu of Kadapa and C. Kishan Singh of Hyderabad. It will hold office for three years.

It may be recalled that the assurance to constitute the Commission was given by the Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy during the recently concluded budget session.
