Land allotment made to Raghuram Cements cancelled

Open auction called for

The State cabinet which met on Wednesday has decided to cancel the land allotment of 487 acres awarded recently to Raghuram Cements in which the son of the Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is a director. The State Government is in pressure from the opposition parties who said that this land allotment is unfair and biased.

The Cabinet however said it is committed for the uplift of industries in the Kadapa region and decided to award the land by open auction process. A notification in regard to this auction will be released soon, sources say.
