Government reacts after DPEP scam is unearthed

The State Cabinet meeting headed by the Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy called up for an audit of public deposit accounts of the Government. Sources says that Minister Rosaiah has explained the various loopholes when Government money related to various schemes is deposited with banks.

The Government is believed to be planning for arrangements to make all payments through the treasury. The Finance Department is also looking for a software that might be in use by any other State Government for monitoring of its funds online.
