24 Polling stations in Guntur to go for repoll

One sacked to death

Guntur, July 2, 2006

Violence was witnessed in some polling centers of the Panchayat Elections forcing a repoll in 24 stations in Guntur district.

A Congress worker was sacked to death in the Kanaparru village of Nadendla Mandal while violence is witness in Palnadu region. Ballot boxes were thrown into well in Kondaraipalem village. Clashes between Congress and TDP workers was seen in many regions.
