Demand to TRS Congress MLAs to quit
Medak, September 8, 2006The Telangana Rastra Samithi after waiting for two and half years for separate Telangana State and the TRS ministers resigned from UPA Government and started a direct fight for separate Telangana. The TRS president K.Chandrasekhara Rao addressing an impressive public meeting at Siddipet said that the Telangana Samara Shankaravam, the first pf the series of meetings his party has planed in the wake of the exit from the UPA Government said that the Telangana juggernaut began to roll and no one can stop it.
He demanded the TRS MLAs and MPs to resign and seek re election to prove their claim that they won the last elections on their own. The turnout for the meeting held in the native town of K.Chandrasekhara Rao was impressive with the gathering comprising a large number of farmers and labourers who have been suffering for the want of irritation facilities and thousands of youth who were bereft of employment opportunities. He said that the time has come to join hands and prepared to give up their lives for the cause of Telangana and to protect the rights of the people of the region, he said.
He said no Chief Minister right from N.Sanjeeva Reddy to the present Chief Minister did justice to the people of the region during the last five decades. In his forty minutes speech, he criticized the Congress. The meeting also adopted a resolution demanding Andhra Pradesh and UPA Government to pass a resolution respecting the sentiments of the three core people and create separate statehood. He compared the struggle to that of the struggle for Indian Independence and said the struggle for separate Telangana is right and justice to achieve the target. Senior leaders A Narendra and others participated and addressed the gathering.
