Action initiated in police department
Hyderabad, September 6, 2006The Chief Minister Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy said that the State Government is committed to implementing the Girglani Commission report in toto. However, he gave the assurance while addressing the leaders of the Joint Action Committee of Telangana Employees, Teachers and workers who called on him on Wednesday.
The Chief Minister in response to a memorandum submitted by the JAC, said that the Government had accepted the report and would be implemented in letter and spirit. The Cabinet sub committee had immediately initiated action in the Police Department. He advised the JAC leaders to meet the sub committee to put forth their demands before the report could be implemented which consists of 34 demands.
He said that a person from Telangana was made member of Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission while two were posted as Vice Chancellors of Telangana and Yogi Vemana Universities. A retired Chief Engineer from the region was made director of AP Transco by giving special relaxation.
