Government to implement all demands in letter and spirit
Hyderabad, September 3, 2006The Chief Minister, YS Rajasekhara Reddy speaking at a function organized by the Progressive Recognized Teachers' Union to felicitate its president B.Mohan Reddy who retired after serving the union for 26 years. During his speech, the Chief Minister said that the Government would overcome legal hurdles and implement common service rules for teachers.
Despite budgetary restricts, the Government had never disappointed employees and said that the Government is keen in implementing all the demands in the agreement signed by the unions. He said that the Government was also considering land could be provided to employees, teachers and workers for building houses.
The Minister for Finance, K Rosaiah said that Reddy and other union leaders had effectively raised issues concerning them without resorting to strike and the Government would always respond to the reasonable demands. The Chief Minister felicitated him and his wife and handed over keys of a new car presented by the union to their leader.
