Action to be taken against SI
Hyderabad, September 23, 2006A group of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) submitted a memorandum to the Assembly Speaker KR Suresh Reddy seeking suitable action against the Ongole II Town Sub Inspector for his high handed behaviour towards Ponnur MLA D Narendra Kumar.
The delegation was led by E.Dayakar Rao gave a privilege notice to the Speaker against the SI Nagabhushanam.It is said that the Sub Inspector behaved rudely with the MLA without any provocation when he visited Ongole district jail to meet Addanki MLA K.Balarama Krishna Murty who was in judicial custody. The Ponnur MLA charged that the incident was intentional and said the Sub Inspector's behaviour was breach of privilege against a legislator causing disrespect to the House.
The Speaker had given assurance to get a report on the incident and take necessary action against the Sub Inspector in question.
