MRPS-led by Manda Krishna Madiga stages demonstrations

Hyderabad, September 20, 2006

The activists of the Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) led by Manda Krishna Madiga on Wednesday staged a demonstration near the Lakeview Guest House protesting against the alleged derogatory remarks by the MP L Raj Gopal against the Siddipet MP S Satyanarayana.

Nearly 50 MRPS activists went to the guest house where the AICC general Secretary Dig Vijay Singh was staying but were stopped by the police and meanwhile the supporters of Raj Gopal raised slogans in favour of him. The Minister for information Mohd.Ali Shabbir and V Hanumantha Rao tried to pacify the agitators and promised them that they would get an audience with the AICC general secretary.
