TRS men gherao Information Minister

Staged a Rasta roko for nearly half an hour.

Nizamabad, September 19, 2006

Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) activists gheraoed the Minister for Information Mohd.Ali Shabbir at R&B guest house at Kamareddy on Tuesday and prevented him from leaving for Biknoor to attend an official programme.

The agitators squatted on the road at the guest house gate preventing the Minister. When he managed to leave the place, they shifted the scene to Nizam Sagar Chow Rasta where they smashed window pans of an RTC bus and staged a Rasta roko for nearly half an hour.

The TRS leader N Ashok had an argument with the Minister, he said that Telangana cause did not belong to the TRS alone and the Congress party left the final decision to the AICC president Sonia Gandhi.
