Hyderabad, September 17, 2006The former Congress Legislative Party leader P.Janardhana Reddy and M Sashidahar Reddy, MLA of Sanatnagar met the Home Minister K Jana Reddy on Sunday and discussed the recent political developments. The meeting took place for over one and half hours disused the controversial issue of diversion of flood waters from Srisailam to Pothireddypadu head regulator and the announcement of resignation of the TRS President K Chandrasekhara Rao from Lok Sabha and other issues.
Close sources reveal that they asked the Government to draw water from above the water level from Srisailam for Pothireddypadu head regulator. Reliable sources says that the two leaders felt that the recent political developments could have been avoided if the party had handled the Telangana issue carefully. The Home Minister, K Jana Reddy reportedly assured the two leaders that he would discuss the issue with the Chief Minister and see that the interests of the Telangana were not affected at any cost.
