FAPCCI welcomes new tourism package
Hyderabad, September 13, 2006
The Federation of AP Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI) has called for a special package of incentives to boost up tourism in the State. It welcomed the new tourism policy announced by the State Government on Wednesday and said that with such a package in place of investment in the tourism sector would be on the high side which would be beneficial to the Government and Trade.
Stating that it was a good move to bring tourism to the forefront of economic growth, the federation observed that it would have multiplier effect on job opportunities and poverty eradication in an environmentally sustainable manner. It would attract more investment for public private partnership projects and meet the urgent need for budget hotels with the rollback of 25 percent of VAT, it said.
