None injured in the incident
Karimnagar, September 11, 2006A bomb explosion on Monday rocked the bus stand in the evening leading to panic and luckily no one injured. According to police sources, the low intensity bomb that was placed on a bench on platform no.7 went off suddenly. At that point of time the bus station was overcrowded. Passengers ran for their safety resulting into stampede. Police and forensic experts rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the explosive was low intensity in the nature and the blast left a small crate on the floor. The remnants have been collected to ascertain the nature of the explosion.
