Land distribution to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of AP Formation
Hyderabad, October 9, 2006The State Government is gearing up to distribute one lakh acre land to landless poor on November 1 to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of formation of Andhra Pradesh.
The land which is free from any litigation and can be assigned to the poor had already been identified by the District Collectors. The collectors will also sanction an economic package to the beneficiaries for development of land and have tie up with SC Corporation, BC Corporation or under Indira Prabha scheme. The Minister for Revenue Dharmana Prasada Rao speaking to reporters after a regional conference said that in Ranga Reddy 300 acres, Medak 4500 acres, Mahabubnagar 4500 acres and Nizamabad 2500 acres are ready for distribution.
The pattas would be in the name of women. The Revenue department would distribute pattadar pass books, title deeds and sketch of land on November 1, 2006. The officials have been directed to verify the cases of alienation of land and lease of lands given to other departments and organizations.
