CID files petition for narco test on K Venkateswara Rao

Venkateswara Rao earlier refused for the test

Hyderabad, October 9, 2006

Crime Investigation Department (CID) officials on Monday filed a petition in the Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court at Nampally seeking fresh direction for conducting narco analysis test on K Venkateswara Rao, the prime accused in Krushi Bank case who has refused to undergo the test.

The officials of CID said that by refusing to undergo test, he disobeyed the court direction. The CID officials maintained that the consent of the accused was not mandatory for conducting the test.
