Thousands of devotees are expected

The Municipal authorities have taken up all necessary measures for the smooth conduct of Sirimanu Utsav on October 10. Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, the Municipal Chairperson M Gita said that 11 drinking water points were established at different places in the town and patch works to the roads were in progress. Steps were initiated to renovate Gantastmbaham and an amount of Rs.1 lakh was being spent on decoration and illumination along Tank Bund Road.

As thousand of devotees are expected to be turn out from across the State besides Orissa, measures were taken to provide food and snack packets. Nearly 30 sanitary workers were deployed for cleaning the surroundings during the celebrations and four teams were appointed to review the situation.
