Demands implementation of GO 610

Hyderabad, October 6, 2006

The CPI demanding a Rs.10,000 crore package for the development of Telangana and implementation of GO No. 610, they took a procession to the Secretariat. The police arrested the activists when they came near to the Ambedkar Statue including the State unit secretary K Narayana. Speaking to press, Narayana also demanded formation of regional development boards, relief to those affected by drought and floods and distribution of land to the landless. The protest rallies were being organized throughout the headquarters across the State.
