KCR named TRS candidate for Karimnagar seat

TRS calls party members to teach Congress and TDP a lesson

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Wednesday announced the candidature of the party president K Chandrasekhara Rao for the Karimnagar Lok Sabha constituency.

The decision was taken at a meeting of TRS MPs, MLAs and members of the State executive where party secretary and Karimnagar district party in charge secretary E Rajender proposed the candidature of Chandrasekhara Rao and was seconded by party A Narendra. He said that the coming election battle was not aimed at restoring his pride but protecting the interests of the Telangana State. He asked the party men to strive hard to teach a lesson both to Congress and Telugu Desam Party.

It may be recalled that KCR has resigned for his MP post and his party came out of the UPA Government at the center.
