Hyderabad, October 28, 2006The Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy speaking to media on Saturday said that the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) will inquire into all land deals violative of the Land Ceiling Act in addition to those relating to selling of Government land by unscrupulous means. He said that the inquiry had been ordered after it came to his notice that one Rajaiah from Medak district had violated Land Ceiling Act and bought about 14,000 acres of land in Nalgonda and Ranga Reddy districts.
He said similar incident came to light in Medak by one Narayana Rao who had sold 10,000 acres Government land in the past ten years. Another case to light in Kadapa and he instructed the District Collector to fence the Government land to protect it. In most case the land assigned to poor for agricultural purpose are being sold out. It may be noted that the person to whom the land has been assigned was not allowed to sell the land and the Government would come to their rescue.
