Hyderabad, October 27, 2006

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories has reported a consolidated sales turnover of Rs.2004 crore for the second quarter of the current financial year ended September 30, 2006. The Company posted a net profit of Rs.280 crores during the quarter. The Managing Director K Satish Reddy after the board conference speaking with the media on Friday said acquisitions and authorized generic sales contributed to the improved performance.

He said the acquisitions in Mexico and Germany accounted for 20 per cent of the total revenue. The revenue in Germany shot up to Rs.255.40 crores while in Mexico it is Rs.143.40 crores. He further said that revenues from the international markets wee Rs.1760 crores and contributed 88 percent of the total revenues.
