Major Irrigation Minister announced

The Major Irrigation Minister, P Lakshmaiah on Wednesday said that the World Bank has given its clearance for aid of Rs.3200 crores to modernize Nagarjunasagar canals and take up a project to construct sever minor dams at a time. He said that Rs.2200 crores of this would be earmarked for modernization of Nagarjunasagar canals and Rs.1000 crores for minor dams. He said that the World Bank did not attach any conditions.
