Kadapa to become first child labour free district

Declare the district child labour free by November 14, 2006

Hyderabad, October 2, 2006

The Kadapa district administration is gearing up to declare the district child labour free by November 14, 2006. Two mandals will be the first to secure the tag on Wednesday. Some 250 children have been admitted to the residential bridge course centre at Badvel so far and seventy more have been identified as school dropouts in 23 hamlets and these will find their way to school by Wednesday. Officials have already brought 3500 drop outs back to schools in the district and 6000 more are expected to be admitted to schools before the dead line.
