Raju is released on personal surety

Former Minister and a Senior member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Poosapati Ashok Gajapati Raju was arrested on Wednesday for his failure in appearing before the Justice Chalapathi Commission inquiring into irregularities connected with implementation of the Israeli model agriculture system in Kuppam of Chittoor district. He was later released on personal surety. He clarified that he had not attended before the Commission as the notice has not reached him.
