Steps to check infighting and to promote co-ordination

Hyderabad, October 10, 2006

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) announced on Tuesday announced a shake up replacing three district party presidents as a part of the efforts to check infighting, promote better coordination and rejuvenate the district level organizational set up. The party's Polite bureau meeting held under the chairmanship of TDP Party N Chandrababu Naidu took the decision to replace them. The new district presidents are the Rajya Sabha MP C Ramachandraiah, BV Reddy Rajasekhar Reddy and Pulla Rao of Kadapa, Kurnool and Guntur districts respectively.

The meeting also decided to stick to its earlier stand of providing 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament and Assemblies. It would present its views at the all party meeting on delimitation of constituencies convened by Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee at Delhi on October 13.
