TNSF demanded that start the Telangana University immediately

Nizamabad, November 5, 2006

The Chief Minister, Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy remained silent on the report submitted by the House Committee on the privatization of Nizam Sugars Factory (NSF). Despite the demand from Nizamabad MP Y. Madhu Goud Yahski and several farm labour associations leaders to give consent, the Chief Minister maintained silence. Some farmers put up banners demanding Rs.1500 per tonne sugarcane and these protests too bore no fruit.

The leaders of TNSF, youth wing of the Telugu Desam Party demanded that foundation stone should be laid for the Telangana University immediately. The Chief Minister said that the Nizam Canal would be modernized as a gift for the district's centenary celebrations. ILIS also called Bhoo Bharati programme will enable savings Rs.750 crore spent annually on sorting out land disputes.
