TDP leader caught with Rs 5 Lakhs

Mohan Reddy arrested on charges of illegal payment to voters

Karimnagar, November 30, 2006

The Sircilla police arrested a TDP leader Mohan Reddy on the charge of illegal payment to induce voters in the by elections and recovered Rs. 5 lakhs in cash and election material along with his car. He was caught at Jillela cross roads on Thursday. The police during the checking at the check post boarders, they recovered Rs. 5 lakhs from him.

Meanwhile, the politburo member of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) T. Devender Goud said that the party is no way connected with the seizure of cash from him and demanded an inquiry into the incident. He further added that he was joined the party recently and he was doing real estate business.
