MPTC members from various parts of the state attend meeting
Hyderabad, November 30, 2006
A State level convention of member of Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTC) on Thursday threatened to launch agitation from January 1, 2007 if the Government failed to concede the 30 demands put forth by the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Chamber.
The day long convention attended by MPTC members from across the State decried the Government's apathy in not delegating powers to them. The meeting decided to organize rallies in Hyderabad and Delhi culminating in an indefinite fast and demonstrations. The meeting constituted AP MPTC Association to and elected Y. Babu Rajendra Prasad as president.
